• Estimates: Any price estimates provided via the website or email are preliminary and non-binding. Final project costs are determined after an on-site evaluation and a signed "Project Agreement."

• Consulting: DIY consulting sessions are billed at a flat or hourly rate as discussed during booking. These sessions provide guidance only; Canvasback Builders is not liable for work performed by the homeowner.

 

3. Payments and Deposits

• Deposits: To secure a spot on our building schedule, a non-refundable deposit may be required.

• Payment Schedule: For large remodels or builds, payments will be made in "draws" based on project milestones (e.g., Materials Delivery, Framing Completion, Final Walkthrough).

• Late Payments: We reserve the right to pause work if payments are not made according to the schedule outlined in your specific Project Agreement.

 

4. Client Responsibilities

For on-site projects, the client is responsible for:

• Providing clear access to the work area.

• Ensuring pets and children are kept away from the construction zone for safety.

• Obtaining any necessary homeowner association (HOA) approvals.

 

5. Website Intellectual Property

The photos, text, and designs on this website (including images of our custom cabinetry and completed decks) are the property of Canvasback Builders. You may not use or reproduce our project photos for commercial purposes without written permission.

 

6. Limitation of Liability

Canvasback Builders is not responsible for site interruptions, technical errors on the website, or damages resulting from the use of DIY advice provided online. All physical construction work is covered by the warranties and liability limits specified in your individual signed contract.
